Commercial/Rideshare Coverage

- Eligibility: passenger cars, light trucks and vans up to and including one-ton trucks used for route sales and/or route service, inspections, maintenance or repair purposes, carrying tools to a job site, farming, ranching, and rideshare services (including Uber and Lyft). If used for towing, the Vehicle must be equipped with the manufacturer’s installed towing package and not specifically excluded under Ineligible Vehicles
- Ineligible Vehicles: Vehicles used in any commercial manner not specifically listed in Commercial/Rideshare Coverage Eligibilty are not eligible for coverage including, without limitation, taxi, limousine, shuttle, policy or other emergency use, security service or any law enforcement agency, snow plowing, commercial towing equipment, cable or line installation or removal, any rental or loaner vehicle, vehicles equipped with flat beds, dump beds, lifting or hoisting equipment, step vans, high cube vans or box bodies. Vehicles used for carrying or towing payloads in excess of OEM specifications are also not eligible. Vehicles older than the current calendar model year minus 10 years or with a current odometer reading exceeding 80,000 miles at the time of agreement purchase are not eligible for Commercial/Rideshare Coverage
Enhanced Labor Rate

Luxury Electronics Package (LEP)

- Coverage details: The following specifically named OEM installed parts are covered - radio/GPS/navigation components; integrated radio/GPS; liquid crystal display (LCD) screens; DVD players; rearview backup camera and sensors; voice activation systems; standalone seat heaters not integrated in upholstery; sunroof and convertible top motors. This coverage is limited to either one replacement or one repair per component for the agreement term and shall not exceed $500. This coverage is limited only to breakdowns of the “base unit” and does not cover any remote controls, hand-held controls, wiring, game cartridges, headphones, DVD’s, MP3 players, programming, or any other non-listed parts for the covered LEP parts. Any aftermarket components are excluded from LEP coverage.

Trip Interruption
- Eligibility: A Breakdown covered by this Agreement occurs more than 100 miles from Your home and results in a licensed Repair Facility keeping your vehicle overnight.
- Coverage Limit: $125 per day for a maximum of three days for a total benefit per occurrence of $375. Motel and restaurant expenses.
Limit of Liability
- Per Incident Limits: Liability shall be limited to the reasonable costs for repair or replacement of any covered breakdown. In no event will the liability per repair visit exceed the wholesale trade-in allowance of Your Vehicle established by the current J.D. Power Official Used Car Guide at the time of the breakdown.
- Labor Rate Limits: Based on average repairer labor rate for the zip code area and vehicle type. Standard coverage not to exceed $125 per hour. Enhanced coverage (surcharge) not to exceed $225
- Aggregate Limits: The total of all benefits paid or payable while this agreement is in force shall never exceed the actual cash value the vehicle or $50,000, whichever is less.
- Effect of Reaching Limit: Once the aggregate limit of liability has been reached, this agreement’s transfer and cancellation rights terminate, and no further claims can be made, unless state law requires otherwise.
Exclusions - What Is Not Covered
General Exclusions
- Conditions that existed prior to the agreement sale date and the completion of waiting period
- Unauthorized Repairs: Repairs performed without prior authorization from the Administrator, except for emergency repairs
- Repairs due to continued operation and failure to protect the vehicle from further damage once a mechanical breakdown or failure has occurred
- Repairs caused by a lack of maintenance or not using manufacturer specified lubricants, fluids, and coolants
- Routine and normal maintenance items, parts, and procedures
- Repairs made outside the United States and Canada
- Repairs caused by acts of nature, or by an external cause such as collision, fire or smoke, theft, freezing, vandalism, riot or explosion, terrorism, war, lightning, earthquake, windstorm, hail, volcanic eruption, water or flood, acts of nature, breakage of glass, falling objects, or nuclear contamination, acts of God or loss that is normally covered by casualty insurance
- Repairs required because of fraud, abuse, negligence, neglect, misuse, or road hazard
- Vehicles used for off road use, off road racing, road racing, competition or speed contests, or driven on a racetrack
- Any otherwise covered part that did not meet OEM specifications, including modifications and/or alterations to the vehicle
- Towing your vehicle in a manner not consistent with the OEM’s recommendations including, without limitation, towing a trailer or another vehicle unless your vehicle was equipped by the OEM for such purpose.
- Overloading the vehicle beyond the OEM recommended capacity.
- If your vehicle is used for business or commercial use (unless commercial/rideshare optional coverage applies).
- Damage to any part(s), component(s), or repair(s) stated as covered by the OEM full, original owner/first retail purchaser warranty for the term and mileage of such coverage to the original owner/first retail purchaser, whether collectible or not, or continuing OEM warranty coverage that is transferable to subsequent owner whether transferred or not.
- If the covered part is covered by an OEM or seller’s warranty, repairer’s guarantee, or other service contract or insurance policy, coverage under this agreement shall be secondary.
- Any optional coverage, equipment and/or use for which a surcharge is applicable, unless such surcharge has been paid and is noted on the information page.
- Damage to a covered component caused by the failure of a component not listed as covered under this agreement, or if a non-covered part is damaged by a covered part.
- Repairs as a result of a defect that the OEM has announced their responsibility by a public recall, technical service bulletin and/or special policy for the purpose of correcting such a defect.
- Repairs that occurred or are reported after your contract expiration or cancellation effective date.
- Repair or replacement of hybrid/electric powered vehicle batteries or for the repair or replacement of parts associated with hybrid/electric powered vehicle batteries.
- That occurs as to gradual loss of performance and has resulted from normal operation and use (due to vehicle mileage and/or age) such as but not limited to: valve guides, valves, piston rings, transmission clutch pack discs and bands unless beyond OEM tolerances.
- Normal expansion/contraction, seepage of seals and gaskets due to age/mileage. Repairs to cure fluid/oil lubricant or seepage.
- When the OEM warranty has been determined null and void by the OEM.
- Repairs beyond those required to correct a breakdown.
- The cost of diagnosis, teardown, disassembly or assembly if a covered mechanical breakdown or failure cannot be verified by the administrator or if the failure is not covered by this agreement.
- Repairs if your vehicle is a reconstructed vehicle, a non-U.S. specification model (unless reprogrammed from kilometers to miles), is rated over one ton payload capacity, is a lemon law buyback vehicle, is a grey market vehicle or has ever had a title indication of salvage, junk branded or other designation indicating that the vehicle had been stolen, wrecked, destroyed, water damaged, or otherwise damaged to the extent that it was considered to be uneconomical to repair.
- Any adjustments, repositioning, refitting, realigning and/or cleaning, including repairs necessary to correct trim fit, squeaks, rattles, idle, water leaks or wind noise.
- Repairs required because of an improper prior repair, technician negligence, overheating, detonation, sludge or carbon deposits, contamination, rust, corrosion, oxidation, dry rot, weather exposure, electrolysis, operation without the proper lubrication levels or fluid type, and the failure to perform the OEM recommended maintenance.
- Any components, parts or costs involved with updating, betterment, or retrofitting of covered components or systems of your vehicle for any reason including but not limited to: product changes, lack of product availability, or government regulations.
- Retrofits or replacements of any components caused by or due to compliance with law or legislation and including emission control equipment and sensors are excluded.
- Maintenance services and parts recommended in the OEM maintenance schedule, unless required in conjunction with a covered breakdown. Service or mechanical adjustments, cleaning, reprogramming and alignment not related to the repair of a covered breakdown. Air conditioning recharge, refrigerant, coolant, lubricants, fluids not related to the repair of a covered breakdown.
- Any of the following non-covered parts: carburetor, throttle body, battery, battery cables, shock absorbers, struts, manual and hydraulic linkages, distributor cap and rotor, wires, safety restraint systems (including air bags), constant velocity joint boots, timing belt, brake pads or shoes, filters, oil and other fluid changes. Glass, fuses, circuit breakers, telephones, television/DVD player, electronic and satellite transmitting/receiving devices, brake rotors and drums, exhaust system including, without limitation, catalytic converter(s), evaporative and exhaust emission systems, oxygen sensors, navigational system updates and discs, weather stripping, trim, moldings, bright metal, chrome, upholstery, carpet, zippers; nuts, bolts and fasteners; cup holders, dash pad and vents, seat frame, seat frame recliner mechanism, paint, carpeting, fabric, outside ornamentation, inside and outside door handles, mirrors, hinges, liftgate and hood supports, hub caps/wheel covers, body sheet metal and panels, body parts, frame and engine, cradles, body mounts, mounting brackets and structural body parts, vinyl and convertible tops, tires, wheels/rims, near object avoidance systems, speakers and wiring, voice recognition systems, perimeter warning systems or any part thereof, infrared systems or any part thereof; manual and hydraulic clutch assembly such as, but not limited to: manual clutch pedal, clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, clutch master and slave cylinder and throw-out bearing. Any component that its only purpose is for illumination such as but not limited to: sealed beams; high intensity discharge (xenon) headlamps, LEDs, light bulbs, head lamp, projection lamp assemblies and lenses.
- Modified engine control module (ECM) programming, ECM chips, programmers, modified engine control units (ECU(s)) or specialized reprogramming that alters the performance attributes of original equipment drivetrain components or renders emissions controls inoperative unless recommended by the OEM for on street use.
- Storage and freight charges; shop supplies and miscellaneous charges, and hazardous waste removal.
- Incidental or consequential damage, loss of profits, loss of time, property damage, personal injury, inconvenience, loss of vehicle use, commercial loss, punitive or exemplary damages, attorney fees and any legal related costs.
Claims Process
Pre-Repair Requirements
- Prevent Further Damage: Take immediate action to prevent further damage to vehicle
- Choose Repair Facility: May take vehicle to any repair facility of choice
- Provide Coverage Evidence: Provide repair facility with copy of this agreement or agreement number
- Authorize Diagnosis: Must authorize repair facility to complete all work to accurately diagnose the cause of vehicle's breakdown
- Obtain Prior Authorization: Must obtain authorization from Administrator prior to any repair being made

Emergency Repairs
- When Allowed: Outside regular business hours, emergency circumstances
- Process: You may take one of the following steps: (1) Wait until regular business hours and then follow the normal claims procedure outlined above; or (2) Authorize and pay for any teardown or diagnostic time needed to determine whether your vehicle has a covered Breakdown. If You reasonably determine that You have a covered Breakdown and You choose to have Your Vehicle repaired, You are responsible for paying the repair. You must then call the Administrator during the next immediately available regular business hours so that the Administrator may determine whether there was a covered Breakdown. If the Administrator determines that there was a covered Breakdown, then We will pay You in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Transfers
- Transfer Rights: If You sell the Vehicle, this Agreement shall terminate. You may apply for a transfer to the new owner within 30 days from the date of sale to a private party and not a dealer or entity in the business of selling, trading or leasing vehicles

Refund Policy
General
- If this Agreement is cancelled within the first 60 days and no claim has been made under this Agreement, the Agreement will be void and we will refund to you the agreement purchase price. This right to void the Agreement is not transferable and applies only to the original Agreement purchaser. If the Agreement purchase price has been paid in full at the time of your cancellation request and You cancel this Agreement after the first 60 days or if a claim has been authorized or paid, you will be refunded a pro-rated amount of the Agreement Purchase Price, based on the lesser of the months or miles remaining, less any claims paid, where permitted by state law. An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from the cancellation refund. In the event your agreement is cancelled for non-payment, you will not receive a refund.
